This is a really excellent post.  I really think that you should consider submitting it to the opinion section of your campus newspaper, or, maybe better yet, the local Santa Barbara newspaper.

I hesitate to &quot;cheapen&quot; the well-thought and well-presented content of your post with a joke, but I would not be true to myself if I didn&#039;t write out every little thought that pops into my head.  You wrote, &quot;Despite how I now believe I could had a much bigger impact . . .&quot;  What did you think you could have done better?  Because I have a suggestion:  Maybe as you enter the classroom at the start of each session you could dance up and down the aisles like Ellen.  For added effect, you could do it wearing the Guitar Hero pajama pants I got you for Christmas a while back.

Seriously, good job on this post.  You took an important and critical look at an issue in the academic world and infused yourself and personal experience into it in a candid way.  I never cease to be impressed with you.</description>
